But just as you excel in everything - in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us - see that you also excel in this grace of giving. I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others. 2 Corinthians 8: 7-9 

This passage tells us that all Christians are called to be generous, and that giving is inspired by the incarnation and crucifixion of Christ - for us.

The money that we receive all goes into the running of the CU and the events we put on. Things like paying speakers to come, and paying for a license for our songs, running things like Alpha courses and lunchbars, freshers week and missions week events, and maybe other things.
