The CU is committed to the local church in Guildford and we strongly encourage all members to prioritise being involved with a bible teaching church in the area. Being involved with the CU is not a replacement for joining a local Church because Church is the primary place for discipleship and growth as a Christian. So please do find a Church you can get stuck into!

We currently have 11 churches on our 'Church Search' with reps from all but a few. These reps are mostly current students but some are general church members.

Even if you are not a fresher this page has information on finding a church.

Hillsong Church Guildford
Reps: Praise & Cassina

Welcome to Hillsong Church

Loving God. Loving People. Loving Life.

Our mission is to reach and influence the world by building a large Christ-centered, Bible-based church, changing mindsets and empowering people to lead and impact in every sphere of life.

We have two services (11AM & 4PM). Our young adults community (Powerhouse) meet after the 4PM service for a hangout every Sunday, where we socialise and celebrate an awesome day at church.

Every week we gather in small groups, where we take time to process life together. We also have regular local events, that range from worship and prayer nights to parties and socials as we have a passion for students to grow spiritually as well as socially.

King's Church Guildford
Reps: Elliot & Izzy

King’s is a Bible-teaching church meeting at various locations around Guildford.  Our Sunday meetings take place at 4pm at Guildford County School, less than a mile from the University campus.  We’re a diverse family of people at all different ages and stages of life, but we have a particular heart for reaching students.  Equip – our weekly student group – meets on Tuesday nights and includes: a meal, a Bible study, and talk on an area of the Christian faith.  This year we’ll be studying the book of Romans.

St Saviour's Church
Reps: Tom & Amy

Our heart for students at St Saviours is to grow a community who Love God, Love People and want to be the difference in this town and beyond. We would love for you to be a part of it.

We encourage students to commit to the 6pm, Sunday service (contemporary, charismatic service) as well as seeking opportunities to serve in the life of the Church. Tuesday nights are when we gather as a student group to build community, have fun, worship, study God’s word, prayer for one another and think about the ‘so what’ and how we can live life as disciples of Jesus Christ. Additionally, we have more socials planned at different times throughout the term.

Tim oversees the student team and you can meet him and the team at our Sunday services or our Tuesday night, student gatherings. Tim will be leading the 6pm service 6th & 13th Oct. Tues night gatherings will start 8th Oct, with a party planned for the 13th Oct. We are so excited about this year and what God has in store. Hear more about what is going on by following us at:
